How to Go from Incheon Airport to Seoul – Super Easy Guide for First-Time Travelers


If you're visiting Korea for the first time, 

getting from the airport to the city might feel confusing.

But don’t worry! Here are 3 very easy ways to go from Incheon International Airport to Seoul.

Let’s go step by step!

1. Airport Train (AREX)


You can take a train from the airport to Seoul Station. It’s fast and clean!

There are two types: the Express Train and the All-Stop Train — make sure to choose the one that fits your time and budget.


Where to take it:


Terminal 1: Go to B1 floor (basement level).


Terminal 2: Go to B3 floor.

Follow the signs that say “Airport Railroad” or “AREX”.



You have two choices:


(1) Express Train


Time: About 43 minutes


Price: 9,500 won


Stops: Goes straight to Seoul Station, no stops


Ticket: Buy at the ticket machine or counter (English available!)


Good for: Fast, quiet ride with big luggage space



(2) All-stop Train


Time: About 60 minutes


Price: 4,750 won


Stops: Stops at every station


Ticket: Use T-money card or buy at machine


Good for: Saving money

2. Airport Limousine Bus


This is a big bus that goes to many places in Seoul.


Where to take it:


Terminal 1: Go outside on the 1st floor, between Gates 4 to 13


Terminal 2: Go to B1 floor, follow signs to bus stop



Where to buy a ticket:


Go to the ticket counter near the gate (you’ll see signs)


You can pay by cash, card, or T-money



Popular bus numbers:


6015 → Seoul Station, Myeongdong


6002 → Dongdaemun, Cheongnyangni


6001 → Gangnam, COEX area


Time: 60–90 minutes


Price: 10,000 to 16,000 won


Good for: Going near your hotel directly

3. Taxi


This is the easiest but most expensive.


Where to take it:


Terminal 1: Outside 1st floor, near Gates 4 to 8


Terminal 2: Outside 1st floor, near Gate 4



You will see many signs for Taxi, Deluxe Taxi, 

and International Taxi.


Price:


Around 65,000 to 100,000 won (depends on distance)


You can pay by cash or card



Tip:


If you speak English only, ask for an “International Taxi”.

These drivers can speak English.
