Just arrived at Incheon Airport?

Want to go to Seoul fast and cheap?

Take the Airport Railroad (AREX)!

Here’s a very simple guide. Let’s go!

Step 1: Find the AREX Sign


After you arrive, look for blue signs that say “Airport Railroad” or “AREX”


Go to the basement:


Terminal 1: B1 floor


Terminal 2: B3 floor

Step 2: Choose Your Train


There are 2 types of trains.


(1) Express Train


Goes direct to Seoul Station


Takes 43 minutes


Costs 9,500 won


You get a reserved seat, and it's very quiet


Buy a ticket at the machine or counter



(2) All-stop Train


Stops at many stations


Takes about 60 minutes


Costs 4,750 won


Use a T-money card or buy a paper ticket


Great for saving money!

Step 3: Buy Your Ticket


Use the ticket machine (English available)


Or go to the ticket counter


Pay with cash or card


Already have a T-money card? You can skip this and go straight in!

Step 4: Go Through the Gate


Tap your ticket or T-money card on the gate


The door will open


Take the escalator down to the platform

Step 5: Find the Right Train


Look for signs:


Express or All-stop



Trains come every 10–30 minutes


Make sure you take the correct one

Step 6: Enjoy Your Ride!


Sit back and relax


Watch the screen for station names


If you're going to Seoul Station, you're good to go!

Need help? Ask staff wearing blue vests


You can buy a T-money card at any convenience store (GS25, CU)


Download KakaoMap or Naver Map for directions


Don’t throw away your ticket – you’ll need it to exit!
